The Catch-Up Page

One of the things that makes this blog different from other current events blogs is that in most current events blogs there is a common knowledge, whatever the topic, that underlies the reporting and commentary.

But in, Eye On The Tour, in the context of the PGA Tour, we’re dealing with the topic of mastery, consciousness more broadly, and that probably isn’t as widely a discussed topic in the broader culture. As these sorts of conversations grow, people walk away from them knowing that there is resonance in them—“I know what I like when I read it”—but describing that experience to others can be a little more difficult.

So I have added a new page to the blog. It’s titled the “Catch-Up” page and can be found in a link on the About tab. Its purpose is to help you introduce the blog to others you’re sharing it with, as I know many of you have, without having to say, “Just start reading from the beginning.”

The Catch-Up page will also help newcomers sampling the site or coming into the conversation mid-stream, discover the “secret decoder ring” and perhaps a reason to stick around. I remember what it was like when I opened my first calculus book and I don’t want anybody else to experience that!

I’ve hand-picked ten previous posts that I think sum things up. I’d be pleased to know any you think that don’t belong or perhaps ones that I’ve missed.

In the meantime, thank you for spreading the word. It is very gratifying to know that you continue to enjoy the blog.
